JAWDA Process

Orientation Workshop

After registration, a Jawda orientation workshop is delivered for the center staff. The Jawda guidance is shared with the centre (welcome pack).

Access your online Jawda portal

Online account is created for one (1) calendar year & centre is assigned a Jawda Assessor.

Prepare for standards

Setting starts uploading evidence against each assessment criteria. Assessor rates the evidence, giving it a rating of 1,2,3,4 or 5. (3+ ratings must be verified through observation.

Schedule your verification visit

Once you have uploaded all of your evidence, you are ready to schedule your Jawda verification visit. 

When you are ready for your final verification, you and your assessor will agree on an assessment visit. The assessment visit may take 1 to 2 days depending on the size of your centre and the number of assessment criteria that the assessor plans to cover during the visit. The main objective of the assessment visit is to gather evidence through:

  1. Classroom Observation of practices, based on sample selected randomly by the assessor.

  2. Observation of the environment, namely resources, furnishings, spaces and equipment.

  3. Hold interviews with selected parents and teachers.

  4. Review documentation.

Report and tier certification

Your assessor will prepare an assessment report. You will also receive a tier level certification from CACHE UK. Certificate is valid for 3 years. 

Quality Improvement Plan

A quality improvement plan (QIP) will be required to be submitted annually to maintain certification.
